A small animal clinic with a safe setting for your pet
Professional help for dogs, cats and other pets
Does your pet need a health check, treatment or professional advice?
At Vestjyske Dyrlæger, we have a modern small animal clinic where you and your animal will be met by an experienced veterinarian. The clinic is located in Nørre Nebel, and we also welcome dog and cat owners from, among other places, Skjern, Varde and the surrounding areas.
We emphasise that both animal and owner feel safe during the visit. Our small animal clinic has bright and welcoming premises as well as well-trained staff who help with preventive health services, examinations and treatments.
Preventive treatment and health checks
Regular health checks make it possible to follow your pet’s development and detect signs of illness or other health problems. During the consultation, we examine the animal and advise you on the care and prevention that suit its age, breed and lifestyle.
You can, among other things, get help with:
- Health checks, vaccinations and advice on prevention
- Examination of teeth, skin, ears, musculoskeletal system and general health
- Castration and sterilisation, ultrasound scanning and other planned treatments
For dog owners, we offer, among other things, dog vaccination, where the need is assessed based on the dog’s age, previous vaccinations and risk of infection. Cat owners can similarly receive advice on cat vaccination and a vaccination programme that suits the cat’s lifestyle.

Price for examination and treatment
The specific price depends on which examination or treatment your pet needs. The need for medication, diagnostics or further treatment may also affect the total cost.
You can find selected prices on the website or contact us to find out more. For non-urgent questions about costs and treatment options, we prefer that you call after 9:00.
Examination and treatment in the small animal clinic
If your dog or cat changes behaviour, loses its appetite or shows signs of pain, an examination may be necessary. We ask about the symptoms and examine the animal so that we can form an overview of its condition.
Further treatment depends on the results of the examination. In some cases, further diagnostics may be needed, while other problems can be managed with treatment and follow-up at the clinic.
Teeth and the oral cavity are also an important part of the animal’s general health. Bad breath, visible deposits or problems chewing may be signs of tartar or other dental problems. In our small animal clinic, we can examine the teeth and assess the need for dog dental cleaning.
Personal advice for you as a pet owner
A consultation is not only about examining the animal. You also have the opportunity to ask questions about, for example, feed, weight, vaccination, dental care, behaviour and daily care.
We explain our assessment and review the relevant treatment options so that you know what the further course involves. This gives you a better basis for making decisions about your pet’s health.
Our staff undertake continuing professional development on an ongoing basis, so you can receive advice based on up-to-date veterinary knowledge. At the same time, we prioritise personal contact and clear dialogue throughout the course of treatment.
Help with sudden illness or injury
A pet can become ill or injured without prior signs. In the event of severe or suddenly occurring symptoms, you must call us so that we can assess how quickly the animal should be examined.
It may, among other things, be relevant to contact us in the event of breathing problems, seizures, heavy bleeding, poisoning or a marked change in the animal’s general condition. If you are in doubt, an emergency veterinarian can help assess the situation.
For urgent enquiries, you must always call rather than use online booking or email.
